On August 4, 2026, the Chess Federation of the Republic of Tajikistan hosted an Open Chess and Checkers Tournament organized by the Republican Council "Dynamo" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for children and adolescents of Dushanbe. The event was dedicated to the 35th Anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan and was held under the slogan "Youth and National Security."
The tournament aimed to promote a healthy lifestyle, encourage the development of intellectual sports, engage children and young people in regular sporting activities, identify and support promising talents, and strengthen patriotism and national identity among the younger generation.
During the competition, participants competed in chess and checkers in separate categories for boys and girls. At the conclusion of the tournament, the top-performing competitors in each category were determined.
At the closing ceremony, the winners and prize recipients were awarded trophies, diplomas, medals, certificates of appreciation, honorary certificates, and commemorative gifts
