On August 4, 2026, the driver of an Aion vehicle, Abdulaziz Ruslanovich Ziyoev, was traveling from Sughd Province to the city of Dushanbe when, at the 24th kilometer of the Dushanbe–Chanak Highway within Varzob District, he lost control of the vehicle and collided with a Toyota Fielder and a Volkswagen Crafter.
As a result of the traffic accident, the drivers and several passengers sustained injuries of varying severity.
Regrettably, one of the passengers, Munisa Safarovna Rajabova, died at the Central District Hospital of Varzob District.
Three other individuals who sustained various injuries were hospitalized.
An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
