Employees of Police Department No. 1 of Shohmansur District detained citizen Khodjaev K.A., born in 1998 and residing on Jami Street in the capital, on suspicion of committing fraud.
According to the investigation, in March 2026, he gained the trust of Davlatov D.N., born in 1985, a resident of Panj District, by introducing himself as an entrepreneur. Under the pretext of purchasing a residential house for him, the suspect received a BMW vehicle worth 170,000 somoni, as well as 175,000 somoni in cash from the victim. However, he failed to fulfill his promises and used the received funds for personal purposes. As a result, the victim suffered material damage amounting to 345,000 somoni.
In addition, Khodjaev K.A. gained the trust of another resident of the capital, Davlatzoda U.Sh., using a similar scheme. In February 2026, he received two vehicles from him — a Range Rover and a Toyota Prado — with a total value of 620,000 somoni. Of this amount, the suspect returned only 260,000 somoni, while the remaining 360,000 somoni has not been reimbursed to date.
A criminal case has been initiated against Khodjaev K.A. based on the facts of these unlawful actions, and a preliminary investigation is currently underway.
