Police officers have uncovered a case of misappropriation of funds intended for payment of consumed electricity by citizen L.S. Mirzoev, born in 1977 and a resident of Kushoniyon District.
It was established that from 2020 to 2025, L.S. Mirzoev worked as a network controller in A. Jomi District. During his employment, he collected payments for electricity from 36 subscribers, ranging from 100 to 1,900 somoni. In total, he collected 8,335 somoni, which he misappropriated and used for personal purposes.
A similar crime was committed by citizen D.R. Gulomov, born in 1982 and a resident of A. Jomi District, who worked as a network controller in Dusti District. In 113 instances, he collected payments from consumers for electricity ranging from 50 to 500 somoni, totaling 15,794 somoni. At the same time, he issued unpaid bank receipts to citizens, while keeping the collected funds for himself.
According to the conclusion of the branch of JSC “Electric Distribution Networks” in Bokhtar city, the 113 electricity payment receipts issued by D.R. Gulomov were duplicates and were not entered into the billing system of the respective jamoat.
A preliminary investigation is underway regarding these incidents to determine the question of initiating a criminal case.
