On May 24, 2026, at approximately 11:30 a.m., the driver of a Mercedes-Benz vehicle, Yusupov Mubindzhon Marufdzhonovich, born in 1993 and residing in the city of Khujand, was traveling along the “Khujand – Guliston” highway within the territory of Bobojon Gafurov district when he lost control of the vehicle, entered the oncoming lane, and collided with a BYD Song Plus driven by Ashrapov Salohiddin Davronjonovich, born in 2008 and residing in Khujand.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the Mercedes-Benz, Yusupov M., as well as his passengers Abdullozoda Muhammadjon, born in 2008 and residing in Khujand, and Rustamov Azamjon Ahmadjonovich, born in 2008 and residing in Bobojon Gafurov district, died at the scene.
The driver of the BYD Song Plus, Ashrapov S., sustained bodily injuries and was hospitalized.
An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
