Citizen Rakhimov M.S., born in 1996 and residing in Dangara district, has been detained on suspicion of altering computer information.
The suspect had been working as an electricity controller for the Dangara district power grid since June 2019. During the period of 2025–2026, he knowingly entered false information into the personal accounts of 138 residents of the village of Mekhtari, Safobakhsh rural jamoat of the district, indicating the consumption of 73,069 kilowatt-hours of electricity.
As a result, 30,228 somoni and 19 dirams were unjustifiably charged, causing significant financial damage to the Open Joint Stock Company “Distribution Electric Networks” in the Kulob region.
A criminal case has been initiated against Rakhimov M.S. under Part 1 of Article 299 and Part 2 of Article 340 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan.
