On February 23, 2026, at 5:46, the driver of an “ATEKO” vehicle,  born in 1972, a resident of the B. Gafurov district, lost control of the vehicle while entering the “Gazoil” gas station in Khujand and struck a scooter rider, born in 2015, a resident of the B. Gafurov district.
As a result, the scooter rider died at the spot of the accident.
On February 24, 2026, at about 3:30 p.m., the driver of a “Toyota Corolla Verso”, born in 1988, a resident of the Aini district, moving from the Sughd region to the city of Dushanbe and entering the territory of the Varzob district, lost control of the vehicle and drove into the oncoming traffic lane, colliding with a Volvo Trusk, driven by a man, born in 1977, a resident of the Matcha district.
As a result, the driver of the “Toyota Corolla Verso” and his passengers: and his four passengers sustained various injuries and died at the spot.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
