On February 16, 2026, at about 11:30 a.m., the driver of a “Dulan” Lorry, born in 2002, a resident of the Matcha district, lost control of the vehicle while driving in the Mekhrobod rural jamoat of the Asht district and crashed into a “Deva Labo” car, driven by man, born in 1991, a resident of Khujand.
As a result, a passenger in the “Deva Labo”, Obidov Nurullo Murodzhanovich, born in 1986, a resident of Khujand, was injured and died in the hospital.
Also, on February 16, 2026, at approximately 01:00 a.m., motorcycle driver by f man, born in 1995, a resident of Gissar, lost control of his motorcycle while traveling from Dushanbe to Gissar and crashed into a field on the left shoulder of the road.
As a result, the motorcycle driver sustained serious injuries and died at the spot.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
