During investigative operations, militia discovered that a 42-year-old resident of the Dangara district married a 39-year-old local woman in 2010. During their cohabitation, the couple repeatedly had conflicts, including beating her and humiliating her.
On January 20, 2026, after yet another domestic conflict, the woman, unable to bear the situation, committed suicide by hanging herself in a shed.
A criminal case has been opened against the 42-year-old man under Part 2 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan.
An investigation is underway.
