During an operational search, militia officers detained a 41-year-old and a 27-year-old resident of the Muminabad district on suspicion of illegally operating a gambling establishment.
The suspects rented the “Shams” shopping center, located in the Chorsi village of the district, and, gathering a group of residents from other cities and districts, organized a gambling game with winnings, taking 10 somoni from the participants for their own benefit. They used the traditional gambling method of "Khlyus," which involves matching groups of 23 people, and participated in the winning game.
A criminal case has been opened against the suspects under Article 240 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan, and an investigation is underway.
