During an operational search, the militia detained a 30-year-old resident of the B. Gafurov district on suspicion of illegal trafficking of pyrotechnics.
During a search of his BID E2 vehicle, three large cardboard boxes containing imported explosives were found in the trunk.
The vehicle contained 12,000 pyrotechnic devices (fireworks) marked "X029A" and 37 "Galaktika" firecrackers.
A criminal case has been opened against the suspect under Part 2, Appendix 1, Article 199 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan; the investigation is ongoing.
