During an operational search, militia detained a 48-year-old Dushanbe resident on suspicion of fraud.
In August 2023, the suspect gained the trust of a 61-year-old Dushanbe resident and, in two installments, took 977,400 somoni from him, promising to settle a legal dispute in his favor through his acquaintances. However, he failed to keep his promise and used the proceeds for his own benefit.
An investigation is underway.
