Driven to Suicide
As a result of investigative measures conducted by militia, it was established that 53-year-old resident Dzh. Rasulov District had been systematically threatening the honor of his wife, a 50-year-old local resident, since 1996, insulting her, calling her a prostitute under the pretext of intimate relationships with strangers.
On September 17, 2025, at approximately 5:40 AM, the victim, unable to bear the consequences, slashed her wrists with a knife with the intent to commit suicide. She then took vinegar and drank it, attempting suicide and was hospitalized.
A criminal case has been opened under Part 2 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan, and the investigation is ongoing.
