On November 12, 2025, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Colonel-General of Militia Rahimzoda Ramazon Hamro, met with Ms. Murodi Shirin, Chief Secretary of the Presidential Cup of the Republic of Tajikistan at the International Chess Tournament representing the Islamic Republic of Iran.
During the meeting, it was noted that chess is one of the oldest games, popular and well-known throughout the world today. Chess is an intellectual sport that promotes the development of mental abilities.
It is worth noting that the Minister of Internal Affairs, Rahimzoda Ramazon Hamro, is a candidate master of sports in chess.
It is worth noting that the international chess tournament for the Presidential Cup of the Republic of Tajikistan will be held from November 10 to 16 of this year at the “Istiqlol” Hotel in Dushanbe, bringing together over 200 athletes from 16 countries.
Ms. Murodi Shirin will serve as the tournament referee.
