DMIA I. Somoni District in Dushanbe with the filed a complaint a 22-year-old local resident, alleging that in June 2024, a 28-year-old local resident, previously convicted under Article 247 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan, gained his trust and took 308,000 somoni from him, promising to register a 2016 Lexus RH-350. However, the young man failed to do so.
A 44-year-old resident of Vakhdat also filed a complaint with the DMIA-1 Shokhmansur District, stating that between June 2024 and August 2025, a 37-year-old woman from Dushanbe gained his trust through the “Dushanbe sity” e-wallet and received $67,000. She promised to purchase retail outlets in the “Korvon” market in Dushanbe for trading. She then used the proceeds for her own benefit. An investigation is underway into these facts.
