Fraudulent Activities
During operational search activities, militia detained a 32-year-old woman, resident of Dushanbe on suspicion of fraud.
On July 29, 2025, the suspect gained the trust of a 25-year-old resident of the Yavan district and stole two “Range Rover Sport” vehicles worth 280,000 somoni and an “Opel Astra H” worth 55,000 somoni, she promised to pay within 15 days. However, she failed to do so, handing over 217,000 somoni and the remaining 118,000 somoni.
As a result of the operational search, militia officers also detained a 29-year-old resident of Gissar on suspicion of fraud.
In November 2024, the detainee gained the trust of a 34-year-old resident of the Ayni district, purchased 200,000 somoni from him with a non-cash wire transfer and a “Toyota Rav-4” for 230,000 somoni, but refused to return the money.
Furthermore, in November 2024, the aforementioned individual gained the trust of the victim again and, under the pretext of a child's serious illness in Khujand, stole 50,000 somoni, which he spent on his own needs.
The damages amounted to 420,000 somoni.
A criminal case has been opened against the suspect under Part 4 of Article 247 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan, and an investigation is ongoing.
