During an operational search, the militia detained a 36-year-old resident of the J. Rasulov district on suspicion of extortion.
The suspect had been in a relationship with a 48-year-old local woman since 2022. On September 19, 2025, threatening to expose their affair, he demanded 10,000 somoni from the victim. On September 20, 2025, he received 7,000 somoni from her.
A criminal case has been opened against the suspect under Part 1 of Article 250 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan, and the investigation is ongoing.
