August 21, 2025, at approximately 16:30, the driver of a Lada-Niva,  born in 1962, a resident of Penjikent, while driving along the Penjikent-Aini highway in the village of Rudaki in the city of Penjikent, lost control, as a result of which the car overturned into a ditch with water.
As a result, the driver died at the spot of the accident, and the passenger of this vehicle, the woman, born in 1968, a resident of the city of Penjikent, was hospitalized with serious injuries.
The investigation of this incident is ongoing.
