August 12, 2025, at approximately 12:00, the driver of an Opel Astra, the man, born in 1956, a resident of the Dangara district, moving along the Dushanbe-Kulyab highway from the Dangara district to the city of Dushanbe on the territory of the village of Sebiston of the Dangara district, in the Shar-Shar tunnel, lost control and collided with an Opel Combo, driven by man  born in in 2000, a resident of the J. Balkhi district, moving from the city of Dushanbe to the city of Kulyab.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the Opel Astra received injuries of varying severity, died at the spot of the accident, the other driver of the “Opel-Combo” was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
