As a result of operational and investigative measures, militia officers detained a 25-year-old resident of the Kushoniyon district, who works as a dispatcher in the sales department of "Electric Distribution Networks", on suspicion of theft or embezzlement.
The suspect, during his working period from March 2024 to March 2025, using his official powers, illegally collected 12,948 somoni in cash as payment for consumed electricity from 13 household consumers in the annexed territory of A. Sino Street, the rural town of Somoniyon of this jamoat and did not transfer the specified funds to the personal accounts of subscribers of the "Electric Distribution Networks" of this district, but appropriated them, thereby causing serious damage to the enterprise.
A criminal case has been initiated against the suspect under Part 2 of Article 245 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan, an investigation is underway.
