During the operational-search activities, the militia established that a 39-year-old resident of the city of Istaravshan in the basement of the residential building of his brother, a 41-year-old local resident who has been in labor migration in the Russian Federation since August 2024, installed 6 units of electrical equipment "Crypt currency" using mining farms, used electricity without metering and without payment and connected it to a free line.
Based on the act of industry specialists of the power grids of the city of Istaravshan and the State Energy Control Department of the city of Istaravshan, the suspect caused damage to the state in the amount of 213 thousand 954 somoni.
A criminal case was initiated against the suspect under Part 3 of Article 253 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan, an investigation is underway.
