During the course of operational and investigative activities,   militia officers detained a 58-year-old man from the city of Istaravshan on suspicion of committing murder.
On March 2, 2025, at approximately 18:20, the suspect, while intoxicated, quarreled with his wife, a 52-year-old local resident, and struck her several times on different parts of her body with a farmer's shovel.
As a result, the victim received serious bodily injuries and died at the spot.
A criminal case has been opened against the suspect under Part 2 of Article 104 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan; the investigation is ongoing.
