A 54-year-old resident of the city of Vahdat filed a complaint with the DMIA in the city of Vahdat. At the end of September 2023, in Moscow, Russian Federation, he gained the trust of a 38-year-old man from Dushanbe, for the purpose of conducting business in the territory of the Russian Federation, took 10 thousand US dollars from him and promised to return the money within a week. However, the suspect used the fraudulently obtained funds for personal purposes.
A criminal case has been initiated against the suspect under Part 4 of Article 247 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan, the investigation is ongoing.
