On April 19, 2024, the suspect, having gained the trust of a 38-year-old resident of the Spitamen district, purchased a “Toyota Camry” vehicle from him for 92 thousand somoni, paid 35 thousand somoni of this amount, and did not return the remaining 57 thousand somoni.
Also, as a result of operational search activities, militia officers detained a 29-year-old resident of the city of Istaravshan on suspicion of committing fraud.
On September 12, 2024, the suspect gained the trust of a 56-year-old resident of the city of Khujand, bought a “Lexus RX 400” vehicle from him for 120,000 somoni, paid 45,000 somoni of this amount, and did not return the remaining 75,000 somoni. A criminal case has been opened against the suspect under Part 4 of Article 247 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan, the investigation is ongoing.
