Training Seminar
At the initiative of the Interdepartmental Commission on Combating Human Trafficking, a training seminar (training) on the topic of “Strengthening judicial practice in considering criminal cases related to human trafficking and ensuring justice for victims of human trafficking” was held on February 4-5 at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.
This training seminar is intended for judges of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tajikistan, judges of the courts of the city of Dushanbe and judges of the courts of four districts of the capital.
Representatives of the International Organization for Migration, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, public organizations, industry scientists of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Tajik National University also took part in the training seminar.
The purpose of this training seminar is to implement the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Combating Human Trafficking and Assistance to Victims of Human Trafficking”, as well as international legal norms in the activities of law enforcement agencies of the country, including in the administration of justice when considering criminal cases related to human trafficking.
Such training seminars with representatives of the judiciary are planned to be held not only in the city of Dushanbe, but also in the administrative centers of the Sughd and Khatlon regions, the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, districts of republican subordination and the Rasht Valley in February and March of this year.
It should be noted that in accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated 02.03.2023, the activities of the Interdepartmental Commission for Combating Human Trafficking are assigned to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The Chairman of the Commission is the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Lieutenant General of Militia Alamshozoda Abdurakhmon Alamsho.
