On January 29, 2025, an interdepartmental consultation of the delegations of Tajikistan and Russia on migration issues was held in Moscow.
The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Major General of Militia Nasimzoda Akbar Giyos and representatives of the relevant ministries and departments of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Russian Federation.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on migration issues, the procedure for the organized involvement of labor migrants, explanatory and informational work, and compliance with the requirements of the legislation of the Russian Federation, document flow, language training and preparation of labor migrants before the trip, further strengthening of cooperation, especially on issues requiring prompt resolution.
Along with this, the parties expressed their readiness to establish cooperation in accordance with the provisions of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Russian Federation on the organized involvement of citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan to carry out labor activities in the territory of the Russian Federation.
