A 64-year-old resident of the Dangara district filed a complaint with the DMIA for the Ismoili Somoni district of Dushanbe stating that on November 7, 2017, a 55-year-old local resident, previously convicted under Article 247 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan, gained his trust and took 299 thousand, 200 somoni from him, promising to provide him with an apartment of 85 square meters in the center of Dushanbe, but did not fulfill his promise.
A 39-year-old resident of Dushanbe also filed a complaint with the OMVD-2 for the Sino district of Dushanbe, claiming that on July 1, 2024, a 38-year-old resident of the capital deceived him and took a Toyota Camry 6 from him for $22,000, paid $10,000, and did not return the remaining $10,000. Thus, during the course of operational and investigative activities, militia officers detained a 64-year-old resident of the capital on suspicion of committing fraud.
In February 2024, the suspect fraudulently gained the trust of a 38-year-old resident of the capital, bought a Lexus CX 470 vehicle from him worth 240,000 somoni, promising to sell the car and return the money. However, he sold the vehicle and spent the money for personal purposes.
An investigation is underway into this fact.
