During the operational search activities, militia officers detained an elderly man, a 70-year-old resident of Buston, on suspicion of threatening to kill or causing grievous bodily harm.
On January 18, 2025, at about 17:00, the suspect, while in his residential building, threatened to kill and hit the victim on the head and face several times with a screwdriver with the aim of causing bodily harm to the daughter-in-law of a 40-year-old local resident, who was allegedly engaged in witchcraft.
A criminal case has been opened against the suspect under Article 120 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan, and an investigation is underway.
