On January 4, 2025, at about 10:30 a.m., the Opel Astra-J driver, a man, born in 1985, a resident of Ayni district, lost control while driving along the “Dushanbe-Khujand-Chanak” highway, in the Kalachai Kalon rural jamoat of Istaravshan city, and collided with an Opel vehicle driven by man, born in 1996, a resident of the Shakhristan district.
As a result, a passenger of the Opel Astra-J vehicle, born in 1966, a resident of the Ayni district received various bodily injuries and died in hospital. 
On January 4, 2025, at about 17:15, the driver of a “Mercedes-Actrose” Truck, born in 1993, a resident of Istaravshan, while driving from the city of Dushanbe towards the city of Istaravshan on 122+620 km of the Dushanbe-Chanak highway in the Kumarg area of the Ayni rural jamoat of the Ayni district, was unable to ensure road safety and collided with a “Mercedes-Ateco” vehicle driven by a man, born in 1979, a resident of the city of Istaravshan. 
As a result, the driver of the “Mercedes-Ateco” was injured and died at the spot of the accident. The passenger, a man, born in 1987, a resident of the city of Istaravshan, was hospitalized with injuries. 
An investigation is underway into the facts of the accident.
