During the course of operational and investigative activities, the militia detained a 42-year-old resident of the Rudaki district on suspicion of committing fraud.
The suspect gained the trust of a 62-year-old resident of the Varzob district, took 75 thousand somoni and one “Honda Serve” vehicle from him and promised to document his house in his name, but the detainee has not fulfilled his promise to this day.
Also, as a result of other operational and investigative activities, the militia detained a 37-year-old resident of Dushanbe, previously convicted under Article 347 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan, for committing fraud.
The suspect, in the period from August to September 2024, taking advantage of the trust of a 37-year-old resident of the capital, took 6 thousand dollars from him and has not yet returned it.
Thus, the Vahdat City Department of MIA received a letter from the State Unitary Enterprise "Mirob-Plast" stating that on January 10, 2024, a 62-year-old resident of Dushanbe fraudulently gained the trust of the head of this enterprise and, based on an invoice, received 1,050 meters of polyethylene pipes worth 104,897 somoni, spent the funds received for his own needs, but has not yet returned the funds.
An investigation is underway into these facts.
