A regular meeting of the council of ministers of internal affairs of the CIS member states was held in Minsk
On August 9, 2024, a regular meeting of the Council of Ministers of Internal Affairs of the CIS member states was held in Minsk, Republic of Belarus, with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan under the leadership of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel General of Militia Ramazon Rahimzoda, representatives of the MIA of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia and Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of the Coordination Bureau for Combating Organized Crime and Other Types of Dangerous Crimes in the Territory of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States (BCBOP) and the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center.
A total of 13 issues were discussed on the agenda of the meeting. In particular, the issues of priority cooperation between the ministries of internal affairs of the CIS member states and the implementation of the program of joint activities to combat crime for 2024-2028, the practice of implementation and the significance of the provisions of the Agreement on Cooperation of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Combating Crime in the Sphere of Information Technology of September 28, 2018 were considered.
In particular, the issues of priority areas of cooperation between the ministries of internal affairs of the CIS member states in the field of combating crimes committed using information and communication technologies, improving interstate information cooperation in the fight against cybercrime and increasing the effectiveness of cooperation between the ministries of internal affairs of the CIS member states in the fight against illegal migration were discussed.
During the meeting, a number of proposals were made to hold an international competition of professional skills of employees of the structures of the internal affairs bodies of the CIS member states exercising powers in the field of ensuring road safety, as well as an interstate forum of junior traffic inspectors and other proposals.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Militia Colonel General Ramazon Rahimzoda, made proposals on issues of priority bilateral and multilateral cooperation. Following the meeting of the Council of Ministers of Internal Affairs of the CIS member states, a number of relevant decisions were adopted that will contribute to further strengthening of cooperation in the fight against crime.
