On May 28, 2024, the second round of negotiations was held in Dushanbe to discuss a range of issues of Tajik-Russian cooperation in the migration sphere, chaired by the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Colonel-General of Militia Rahimzoda Ramazon Hamro, Minister of Internal Affairs, Police General of the Russian Federation Kolokoltsev Vladimir Alexandrovich, with the participation of the  Ministry of Labor, Migration and Employment population of the Republic of Tajikistan Khasanzoda Gulnora Kenja and other officials.

During the second round of negotiations, issues of the legal status of labor migrants, coordination of statistical data in the field of labor migration of citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan carrying out temporary labor activities in the Russian Federation, organized departure of migrants for work in the Russian Federation, expansion of cooperation in the development of the system of primary, secondary vocational education and training.

At the same time, the draft Protocol on amendments and additions to the agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Russian Federation on the organized attraction of citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan to temporary work in the Russian Federation dated April 17, 2019, the participants presented a number of useful proposals for improving this project.

During the negotiations, the participants expressed their opinions and views on the issues of the procedure for the stay of citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Russian Federation and citizens of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Tajikistan.

The negotiations took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
